An overview of the decorative arts of an era which has an array of decorators, designers of furniture and lighting, metalworkers, and ceramicists. Difficult to define precisely, like many other styles, that of the 40's starts with the l'Exposition Internationale de Paris in 1937 and the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs of 1939 and ends in the 50's.
