We collect recommendations from public statements: tweets, interviews, articles, and podcast transcripts. Each recommendation is recorded against the person who made it, with a link to the primary source where possible.

Books are deduplicated across editions using ISBN and title-author matching. People are deduplicated by name, with manual review for close matches.

For licensing reasons, we don’t expose which third-party aggregators we initially indexed against. The primary sources we link to are always public.

Book covers come from Open Library and source publishers. Author photos are work-in-progress; many will move to Wikimedia Commons before launch.
