Susan Bordo

Susan Bordo is an American philosopher working in contemporary cultural studies, with a particular focus on feminist theory. Her scholarship examines the intersection of culture and the body, addressing topics such as eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa, plastic surgery, ideals of beauty, racism and the body, masculinity, and sexual harassment.
